B220DE - Double Ended Ferry For Arriva

This vessel was originally designed to be built in Aluminum to be used in Copenhagen harbour as a ferry for foot passengers and bicycles.  The vessel needed to be easy to handle and economic to run. 

After talking with the design team and customer the vessel material was changed from Aluminum to our Epoxy Glass Honey comb panels.  This change saw a reduction in the required engine size, and an on going fuel reduction of 50%.  This reduction in fuel not only reduces the running costs of the vessel but significantly reduces its CO2 emissions as well.  This was all achieved without compromising performance.
